First, you will need to slowly melt the Belgian milk chocolate (100 g). After it will cool down, stir it with oil, water, sugar (125 g) and two eggs. Then you will separately put flour (225 g), cocoa powder (25 g) and bicarbonate of soda (1 teaspoon) into a bowl. Mix both parts as the next step and put the pastry onto the two cake tins with greaseproof paper. Insert the tins into the preheated oven (360F/180C) and bake it for 20-25 minutes.
Meanwhile, you should melt the Belgian dark chocolate (150 g) and add the milk (50 ml) and whipped cream 125 g). When the cake is done ane cooled down, top one half of the cake with the jam and lay the second half on it. Cover the cake with the ganache and decorate it with fruit. The last step is to enjoy the delicious cake made of the Belgian chocolate.
Belgian Chocolate Recipe For The Truffle Cake
The Belgian truffle cake can dominate a table at any occasion. It will certainly do an impression during a visit of your good friends but it can also light up the party room. The basis for this recipe comes from Martha Stewart.
The first thing you need to do is to toast 3 cups of hazelnuts on a baking sheet for a few minutes and then remove skins. Put one third of hazelnuts to a food processor with sugar (2 teaspoons)). After processing it, stir it with flour (1 ¾ cups), baking soda (1 ½ teaspoons), and a salt (1/4 teaspoon). In a separate bowl, whisk cocoa (2/3 cup) and boiling water (2/3 cup) together. Now it´s the time to mix butter (one pellet) with brown sugar (1 ¾ cups) and four eggs until it is perfectly combined. The next step is to add vanilla (2 ½ teaspoons) and buttermilk (1 1/3 cups) into the cocoa mixture and to combine flour mixture with the butter mixture. Now you have a batter and you need to transfer it onto a cake tin. Bake the cake and let it cool down.
Now it´s necessary to cook a sugar (1 cup) with the small amount of water (2 spoons) to make a caramel into which you should put the rest of the hazelnuts made in the first step. When the caramel hardens around nuts, put it into the melted Belgian chocolate and coat hazelnuts with it. Sift a cocoa on the nuts and you can move on to prepare the ganache.
At this moment, the time for the Belgium chocolate comes for the second time. For a chocolate ganache, use the Belgium dark chocolate (225 g), melt it down and combine it with heavy cream (3/4 cup) and the corn syrup (2 spoons). Spread the ganache on the cake. Just before serving, decorate your cake with coated hazelnuts and you are done.
